What is CrossFit?

CrossFit involves workouts that are constantly varied using functional movements performed at a high intensity in a fun and friendly group setting.  It is also designed for scalability so can be used by an Olympic athlete to a grandparent!

Do I have to be in shape or have experience to start CrossFit?

No, CrossFit is for anyone, regardless of age or fitness level!  CrossFit also carries over into everyday life – everything we do inside the gym can be seen in your everyday life.  CrossFit helps to ensure that everyday living never becomes a problem or challenge.  Every workout can be scaled to where you are in your journey.  We believe in technical proficiency so that workouts are always safe but also challenging. 

I’ve had an injury or surgery – can I still do CrossFit?

Yes!  In fact, we believe the body is meant to move and movement is part of the healing process.  Our staff will help you slowly build strength. 

What happens in a No Sweat Intro?

This is step one of your SeaCoast journey.  A one-on-one conversation with a coach that will help us figure out where you are in your journey.  In this conversation we discuss your goals and determine the best route to make you successful in your SeaCoast launch.

How do I sign up for a membership?

Following your Intro, we will get you set up with an Assessment so that we can see where your physical strengths and weaknesses are.  From there, we determine your Foundations course prior to attending regular group class.  We believe in setting you up for success and so we ensure that you have a solid understanding of the movements and terminology.

I have not done CrossFit but am in shape.  I’d like to skip the No Sweat Intro.  Can I do this?

No, we require all of our new members to attend the No Sweat Intro and Assessment prior to attending regular group class.  We value you as a member of the SeaCoast family so we want to have one-on-one time to get to know you and your goals.

What is your drop-in policy?

We love visitors from other boxes!  We charge $20 for a drop-in. Make sure to contact us before showing up since all our classes are by Reservation Only and we will need to get you in the system beforehand. Please then arrive 15 minutes before your desired class time to fill out a waiver and meet the coach.  We look forward to having you at SeaCoast!
